MMC
RELEASES FIRST DIGITAL-ONLY COLLECTIONS
This March, MMC has officially launched its first two all-digital
releases, MUSICSCAPES (Various Artists) and METEOR AND COMET (William
Thomas McKinley). MUSICSCAPES is a diverse sampling of the MMC family's
personal projects and compositions such as Richard Drexler's jazzed-up
take on Brahms "Hungarian Dance #1 in G Minor" (featuring
bass legend Jeff Berlin), G. Bradley Bodine's "Concerto for
Marimba and Orchestra" (featuring acclaimed marimba soloist
Drew Lang), and Russ Lombardi's electronic excursion "Glitterfrost."
Since 1992, MMC has produced and released the finest in classical
and jazz from the world's leading musicians and composers, and the
label's assertive move into the digital domain will further expand
both its audience and collaborators.
Industry leader IODA (www.iodalliance.com)
will distribute to over 250 download sites, including iTunes, Napster,
LastFM, MP3.com, Amazon, Verizon, Rhapsody, and CNET. "It is
clear that MMC's unwavering commitment to new music remains at the
heart of both its artistic and marketing vision," says Grammy-winner
and MMC recording artist Richard Stoltzman. Visit MMC Digital (www.mmcdigital.com)
and MMC Recordings (www.mmcrecordings.com)
